Cassia spectabilis is one of the Indonesian medicinal plants traditionally used to treat different diseases, including malaria. Quality a drug derived from also influenced by quality its raw materials. Thus, in order assure products made plants, it necessary standardize materials and following with antimalarial activity test. The aim this study was C. leaves evaluate activities ethyl acetate extract. fresh material were observed specific non-specific parameters. In vitro test done using Plasmodium falciparum 3D7. vivo 4-day suppressive method against mice infected P. berghei for four consecutive days. Heme detoxification inhibitory carried out modified Basilico method. meet requirement traditional medicine. extract showed antiplasmodial 3D7 infection IC 50 value 27.28 μg/mL ED 1.74 mg/kg, respectively. heme 0.33±0.01 mg/mL. standardized possessed potential an which deserves be further developed.
